UDHAMPUR, Mar 1: Urging upon the Union Govt to act tough against Pak agents, their sympathizers and political parties supporting anti-nationals in the State, NPP chairman and former minister Harsh Dev Singh today said that `anti- national elements’ deserve no leniency and needed to be sternly dealt with under law.
While lauding the raids by NIA and IT Deptts in the premises of Hurriyat leaders and JeM activists, Singh called for extending the scope of such raids so as to cover the political and other social organizations supporting or sympathizing with anti- national elements. He said that the huge inflow of cash in Kashmir in the name of Jehad was not allowing the situation to get normalized and therefore, necessitated strict vigil over huge hawala deals and money laundering business which flourished in the state particularly valley by leaps and bounds.
Addressing public meetings at Sail Kori Bair, Nakki and Pathwar villages of Tehsil Majalta in Ramnagar constituency today, Singh pointed towards the seizure of incriminating material from the possession of Hurriyat leaders and OGWs of other terror groups including documents relating to terror funding, coded messages, Jehadi literature, property details, documents relating to financial and other monetary transactions, electronic devices, mobile phones etc. He demanded that the enquiry by NIA and CBDT should be taken to its logical conclusion.
Singh said that concerted efforts were required to be launched to trace the illegal sources of funding which financed terror activities in the valley. He said that this would further expose Pakistan which is already under scanner of the international community for aiding, abetting and sponsoring militancy in the state of J&K.
While paying tributes to over 44 CRPF jawans martyred in Pulwama attack, Singh regretted that the security lapse of such a grave magnitude appeared to have been ignored and overlooked by the Govt.
Emphasizing the need of identifying moles in administration, Singh said that political parties supporting anti-nationals were also required to be proceeded against under law. He said that due cognizance of anti-national posturing of political parties in J&K needed to be taken by ECI with exploring the options for their de-recognition in the interests of sovereignty and integrity of nation. Cautioning the PDP and NC to shun appeasement of separatists and anti-nationals for vote bank politics, Singh said that BJP too, needed to refrain from divisive politics in the ultimate interest of the nation.
