KATRA, May 11:Dr M K Kumar, Additional CEO Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) today inaugurated the multi-specialty one-day medical camp, which was organized by Rotary Club Katra in collaboration with Katra Sub District Hospital.
Renowned doctors including Dr Surinder Sharma (Orthopaedician), Dr Vijay Sharma (Gynecologist) and Dr Anitipal (Physician specialist) examined over 250 patients. They provided free medical consultations to the patients in the camp.
The inmates of Katra and its periphery highly appreciated the efforts of the doctors and the Rotary Club Katra. Free tests of blood sugar, ECG and bone density were conducted.
Addl CEO was all praise for the efforts of Rotary Club Katra in organizing such events. He advised the young generation to come forward wholeheartedly in the service of humanity.
President Rotary Club Katra, Rtn Raj Kumar Padha in his welcome address said their effort of providing relief to the local inhabitants of the Katra and its periphery would continue in future as well. In addition to free medical camps, Club proposes to run an eye vision centre at Katra, providing infrastructure requirements in the Government Schools and construction of a Rotary Bhawan for conducting its multi-services at Katra.
Proceedings of the function were conducted by Rtn Rajiv Sadhotra.
Among others present on the occasion, included Rtn Surinder Kumar Dubey, Rtn Raj Kumar Dubey, Rtn Ramnik Sharma, Rtn Madan Lal, Rtn Raj Kumar Verma, Rtn Jitender Pujari, Rtn Sanjay Maroor, Rtn Sanjay Sharma, Tilak Raj, Yashpal Purohit, Kaka Dogra and Ajay Sanmotra.
Prominent citizens of Katra, including Shiv Kumar Sharma, Sardari Lal Dubey,
Bal Krishan Purohit, Hansraj Sapolia, Sham Paroch, Vinod Kumar and Rishi Ram Saraf were also present on the occasion.
