Jammu, Apr 4:  Additional Director General of Police Armed, SJM Gillani today honoured Police Wrestling team for winning 9 Gold and 6 Silver medals in 28th Men Free-Style Wrestling Championship, organized under the auspices of Wrestling Federation of India, J&K Sports Council and J&K Olympic Association at Jammu recently.
15 players of Police Wrestling team along with Coach, Om Parkash-H/C, Assistant Coach SgCt Krishan Singh and trainers SgCt Anil Kumar and SgCt Ravinder Kumar, led by Dushyant Sharma-SSP SO Sports APHQ J&K were honoured by the ADGP in an impressive felicitation ceremony, held at APHQ, here today.
The wrestling team  comprising SgCt Rajesh Kumar (Silver), Constable Diler Khan (Silver), Const. Bania (Silver), Const. Arif Khan (Gold), Const. Surayader Singh (Gold), Const. Ishaq Ahmad (Gold), Const. Hamam Hussain (Gold), Const. Shamahoon (Silver), Const. Nissar Ahmad (Gold), Const. Ranjeet Singh (Gold), Const. Mohd Hafiz (Silver), Follower Sunny Sharma (Silver), Follower Vicky Sharma (Gold), SPO Sanjay Kumar (Gold) and SPO Rohit Singh (Gold).
While felicitating the wrestling team, the ADGP A appreciated the role of SO Sports APHQ J&K for honing the talent of the team and also lauded the role of coaches/ trainers in imparting effective and result oriented training to the players which made it possible for the team to win the UT level Wrestling Championship.
