Jammu, Oct 12: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu, Anand Jain inaugurated a Badminton Tournament at the Badminton Hall, District Police Lines (DPL), Jammu. The event saw enthusiastic participation from over 100 players, including both boys and girls, showcasing their badminton skills.
Anand Jain emphasized the importance of staying away from harmful habits, particularly drug abuse, which has become a growing concern in society. He encouraged the youth to engage in productive activities like sports, which foster discipline and a healthy lifestyle. He also called on parents to actively ensure their children’s well-being and guide them toward positive pursuits.
Jain expressed gratitude to the technical officials for their role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the tournament and reiterated the commitment of the Jammu and Kashmir Police to promoting sports in the Union Territory. Such initiatives, he stressed, help keep the youth engaged and away from negative influences.
Prominent attendees included Gulzar Singh Slathia, former IGP, Shiv Kumar Sharma, DIG JSK Range, and other senior officers. The tournament will conclude tomorrow with a prize distribution ceremony.
