Aditya wins 4th round, qualifies for knockout stage

BANGKOK, July 3:
India’s ace cueist Aditya Mehta defeated former world champion Ken Doherty of Ireland 5-2 to advance to the knock out stage of the Sangsom 6 Red World Championships, here today.
The win is Aditya’s third after the first two matches yesterday.
“My first match of the day was very challenging and I did give my best shot with a competitive score 4-5. However, I did not let myself down and was determined to get back into my winning form in the second match of the day. Starting on a winning note yesterday in both my opening day matches, I was certain to continue the winning run today too,” Mehta said.
Aditya will play against Peter Ebdon of England tomorrow. (PTI)
