Vijaypur, Aug 19: Former Minister and General Secretary of JKPCC Manjit Singh today criticized district administration for the negligence of flood affected farmers whose houses have been damaged and fields filled with silted water.
In a statement, Manjit Singh said that he has visited the flood affected villages along the Devak and Basanter as the water has entered into the fields and it has also damaged the house of poor farmer namely Des Raj, son of Behari Lal.
“Like Des Raj’s, many other houses have been damaged but the administration is sleeping while the sitting MLA Vijaypur has done nothing for the affected people,” he added.
He further said the bandh which was damaged in 2013 has not been repaired by the administration resulting into flash floods in the low laying areas in Vijaypur’s villages.
