POONCH, Oct 21: On the second day of the 34th Poonch District Open Table Tennis Championship, Adnan triumphed over Gursheesh with a score of 11-8, 11-9, 11-8 to win the Sub-Junior title.
In the junior category, Bilawal beat Yaseen by 11-8, 11-9, while Gursheesh overcame Waseem by 11-6, 11-4. Other notable results include Yuvib defeating Zeeshan 11-4, 11-7 and Mashook beating Faisal 11-7, 11-6. In the quarter-finals, Dhiren beat Bilawal 11-3, 11-9, and Adnan defeated Yuvi 11-7, 11-9.
In the Men’s category, Adnan defeated Yaseen by 11-9, 11-5, Shivam won against Mashook by 11-8, 11-8, 9-11, 6-11, 11-8, and Nipun beat Ashutosh by 11-7, 11-8. Gursheesh overcame Bilawal by 11-8, 11-9, but Nipun beat Gursheesh by 11-5, 8-11, 11-8.
The championship, organized under the aegis of the J&K Table Tennis Association, was supervised by Narinder Singh, Sanjay Raina, Devinder Dabur, and Jagjeet Singh Nikka.
