JAMMU, Jan 13: Tawi Trekkers J&K is going to organize an adventure camp at Nud, on Samba-Mansar road.
During the day long camp, starting from January 22, the budding climbers shall be imparted training in rapelling, slithering, jumaring and art and craft of various other techniques of rock climbing besides artificial river crossing, negotiating a Burma Bridge and a short trek. For all the activities only international standard equipment duly approved by UIAA shall be used.
Highly trained and experienced climbers shall supervise the camp which includes, besides rock climbing, some other activities necessary for the over all personality development of a child. Two best climbers (one girl and one boy) of each camp shall also be honoured on the spot. However, every participant shall be awarded a participation certificate.
The participation fee per participant is Rs 300.
