JAMMU, June 12: The 9-day long Adventure Camp, organized by Apple Kids International Pre-School, Bantalab concluded with the valedictory function in the School premises, here today.
“During the camp the participants in the age group of three to 12 years were trained in sport climbing, beam balancing, Tarzan Swing, rope knots and tent pitching.
Films on adventure were screened which kept the small children spell bound”, said the Principal of the school, Puja Sharma.
Besides adventure activities, over 100 participants from various local schools, enjoyed dance and music, taekwando, yoga, splash pool, a magic show and number of creative activities in art and craft.
Competitions in sport climbing, taekwando, dance, music, art and craft were also organized on different days of the Camp and winners were honoured on the concluding day.
The activities were held under the supervision of Sumit Khajuria, MOI in Mountaineering, Marvi Sharma and Rajni Verma (art and craft), Gurinder Rakwal (Taekwando), Nitin Kumar (dance), Preeti Kesar and Vivek (music) and Akshi Sharma.
Puja Sharma, Principal of the School distributed medals to the winners of the various competitions held during the Camp.
The eminent personalities which visited the Camp to interact with participants and also to share their experiences with the young campers included Sanjit Khajuria, Assistant Director Doordarshan, Jammu and Ram Khajuria, general secretary, Mountaineering Association, J&K. Sanjit Khajuria also delivered an interesting lecture on personality development of a child.

Beam Balancing: Pragun Khajuria of Sprawling Buds School, 1st and Sanyam Nagar of Sprawling Buds School, 2nd.
Music: Ritikesh Bhat of Sprawling Buds School, 1st; Manya Sharma of Presentation Convent School, 2nd and Zoya Fatima of Apple Kids International Pre-School, Bantalab, 3rd.
Commando net: Sanyam Bhat and Nandini Dhar of Sprawling Buds School, 1st; Satyendra Pratap of Apple Kids International Pre-school, Bantalab, 2nd and Aansh of G D Goenka School, 3rd.
Dance: Pragun Khajuria of Sprawling Buds School, 1st; Vansh Raina of Apple Kids International Pre-School, Bantalab, 2nd and Arshiya Sharma of Apple Kids International Pre-School, Bantalab.
