Adventure camp concludes at Apple Kids School

JAMMU, June 15: The adventure camp organized by Apple Kids International Pre-School, Bantalab concluded today.
On the occasion, Prof Lalit Magotra, Co-ordinator, Dogri Advisory Board Sahitya Academy, New Delhi, was the chief guest who distributed prizes among the winners of the various competitions held during the camp.
“During the camp the participants in the age group of three to 12 years were trained in sport climbing, beam balancing, tarzan swing, rope knots and tent pitching. Films on adventure were screened which kept the small children spell bound”, said Principal of the school, Puja Sharma.
Besides adventure activities, over 100 participants from various local schools enjoyed dance and music, taekwando, yoga, splash pool, a magic show, camel riding, horse riding and number of creative activities in art and craft.
Competitions in sport climbing, taekwando, dance, music, art and craft were also organized on different days of the camp and winners honored on the concluding day.
The activities were held under the able guidance of Poonam Misra and Rajni Verma (art and craft), Gurinder Rakwal (Taekwando), Nitin Kumar (dance), Preeti Kesar and Vivek (music) and Akshi Sharma.
RESULTS:
In Taekwando Competition, Arshia Singh of Apple Kids International Pre-School, Bantalab and Myra Tickoo of Sprawling Buds School secured first and second positions respectively, whereas third position was shared by Nandini Jamwal of St Xavier School and Gurleen of Sprawling Buds School.
In Beam balancing, Pragun Khajuria of Sprawling Buds School and Vidya Sharma of Sprawling Buds School claimed first and second positions respectively, whereas Brahmjot of BSF School, Paloura and Bhavishya Koul of Sprawling Buds School shared third position.
In Music, first and second positions were claimed by Rishika Bhat of Sprawling Buds School and Namya Sharma of Presentation Convent School respectively, whereas Arshiya Sharma and Swastik of Apple Kids International Pre-school, Bantalab shared third position.
In Commando Net, Akansh Sahani of Sprawling Buds School and Manas Sharma of Sprawling Buds School claimed first and second positions respectively, whereas third position was shared by Vallabhi and Shriya Pandita of Apple Kids International Pre-school, Bantalab.
In Dance, Samridhi Kotwal of Sprawling Buds School and Vanshiya of Army Public School, Akhnoor secured first and second positions respectively, whereas Abhinav Manhas of Sprawling Buds School and Sargun of Apple Kids School, Bantalab shared third position.
In Burma Bridge, first and second positions were claimed by Ariv Bason and Sumiksha, both of Apple Kids International Pre-school, Bantalab. The third position was shared by Smaksh of Nagbani School and Aryan Kalotra of Apple Kids International Pre School, Bantalab.
In Tarzan Swing, Anurag Saini of Sprawling Buds School and Ankita Rajput of Sprawling Buds School secured first and second positions respectively, whereas Arushi Sharma and Mansi Pandita of Sprawling Buds School shared third position.
