JAMMU, Nov 5: On the concluding day of two day adventure cum heritage camp organized by Directorate of Tourism Jammu, a heritage walk was flagged off by Chetan Taneja, Divisional Traffic Manager, Northern Railways.
The heritage walk was flagged off from Devi Bhagwati temple and covered Dera temple, Kala Dera and Nand Babore temple. The tenth century temple complex exhibited ornate stone carvings and temple building architecture. On the occasion Archaeological Survey of India ASI especially opened the Sculpture shed containing the priceless antiquities.
Director Tourism, Jammu Deepika Kumari Sharma asked the JKAS probationers to appreciate the rich heritage of the Jammu region and work as brand ambassadors for tourism.
On the first day of the adventure camp the participants engaged in trekking, camping and team building exercises.
Kamal Singh Oberh, Group Captain Retd credited with over 1300 jumps in Aero sports gave a motivational presentation to the participants sponsored by J&K Institute of Management, Public Administration and Rural Development JKIMPARD.
