AKHNOOR, Nov 17: Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), Maira Mandrian (Akhnoor), Angrez Singh has been placed under suspension.
Official sources said that during the visit of Advisor to Akhnoor area, the AEE Angrez Singh misrepresented the facts regarding non-mapping of record of Sub Division on JK BEAMS/JKPaySYS portal due to which the payments of the contractors could not be released.
During verification on the instructions of the Advisor (B), it was found that Sub Division is mapped on JK BEAMS/ JKPaySYS and the full system of payments is functional on electronic payment system. Moreover, the salary of the employees of the Sub Division is being released electronically.
Taking serious note of the issue, Principal Secretary to the Government, Public Works (R&B) Department, Shailendra Kumar placed AEE, Angrez Singh under suspension, pending an inquiry in the matter. Chief Engineer, R&B Jammu, Rajesh Kumar has been directed to conduct a detailed inquiry into the matter and submit report to the Government within 10 days.
