JAMMU, Apr 16: Air Force Station (AFS) Jammu organised a motorcycle rally as part of road safety week celebrations, today.
The expedition was flagged-off by the Air Cmde PE Patange, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Jammu.
The rally was led by the PE Patange, in which large number of Air warriors participated enthusiastically.
The motorcyclists covered almost all the main places of Jammu including Satwari Chowk, Vikram Chowk, Jammu University Road, Panama Chowk, Green Belt Park, Hotel Asia, Government Women College, Gandhi Nagar.
A painting competition for the school children was also organised, in which large numbers of School children took part enthusiastically. Children expressed their imagination by drawing beautiful posters conveying the message of road safety.
Addressing the gathering, PE Patange said that Air Force Station is celebrating the Road Safety Week and the main aim of this week long celebration is to educate all the air warriors on various aspects of road discipline, rules and regulations while using service and private vehicles.
