After Dr Farooq’s nod JKCPL all set to engross cricketers

JAMMU, June 12: After JKCA president Dr Farooq Abdullah came to the rescue of cricketers by giving nod to the forthcoming Jammu and Kashmir Corporate Premier League (JKCPL), the organizers of the League are all set to engross the State cricketers in this sporting extravaganza shortly.
According to reliable sources, Dr Farooq on the other day has directed JKCA officials to fully support the JKCPL and provide all kinds of necessary facilities after the organisers of the league had met him in Srinagar.
JKCA treasurer, Manzoor Wazir while revealing the same said that JKCA president told him to provide all kind of support to organisers in holding the league, adding that he (Farooq) further said if there was any problem on the part of BCCI then JKCA will itself handle the same.
However, as per the sources, Dr Farooq has directed the organisers to formally apply with JKCA for the permission with regard to organization of the league.
Meanwhile, organizing secretary of the event, Abdul Qyoom Bagow while talking to EXCELSIOR confirmed that the organisers have already applied to JKCA for the permission and said that the date for bidding of the players for the league has been decided to be on June 17, 2013 and Hotel Taj Vivanta will be the venue for the purpose.
It is pertinent to mention here that the nod from JKCA chief came after three member delegation of the organisers comprising of CEO Farooq Amin, Director Finance, Shiekh Imran and Organising Secretary, Abdul Qayoom Bagow, met JKCA president and apprised him of all the modalities of the upcoming mega event.
Revealing the situation CEO, Farooq Amin said that after some JKCA officials threatened cricketers of ban and allied things we had pinned all our hopes on JKCA president, Dr Farooq Abdullah, who lauded the initiative and supported us in grim atmosphere.
The organizers claimed that the league will benefit the cricket community of the State in all respects as it will open employment avenues for galaxy of the deserving cricketers.
