JAMMU, Dec 31: State Contingent in the Sports discipline of Handball, Hockey, Jeet Kune Do, Judo, Kick Boxing, Rope Skipping, Sqay Martial Art, Thang ta, Wrestling and Wushu was flagged off by Navin Aggarwal, Director General, Youth Services and Sports, here today.
The contingent will be participating in the 59th National School Games to be held at Delhi from January 2 to January 8, 2014.
The contingent comprised of 252 players and 28 officials.
While interacting with the players and officials, Mr Aggarwal said team games need coordination and understanding and advised the players to play as cohesive units.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were Kanchan Bala, Deputy Director Youth Services and Sports and Haij Mirza Hussain, Deputy Director, besides other officials of the Directorate of YSS.
