JAMMU, May 4: Up in arms against alleged irregularities in the Civil Services Preliminary exams, result of which was recently declared, aggrieved candidates held protest demonstration  against Jammu Kashmir Public Service Commission for the second consecutive day today.
A number of aggrieved candidates assembled in front of the Jammu University main gate and held a protest demonstration amidst raising of slogans against the PSC and demanding cancellation of the Preliminary exam.
They also torched an effigy of the PSC and blocked road in front of Jammu University by staging a dharna there for some time.
Claiming  no transparency, the protesters alleged  mass error in Preliminary result and claimed that more than 5000 students, who scored above  300 marks, were dropped out from the of list of qualified  whereas the cut off marks was 270.
They further alleged that more than thousand candidates, who scored less than 270, were declared qualified for the Mains exam and despite repeated requests, the PSC was not releasing the answer key.
The protesters, including boys and girls,  demanded cancellation of this pre  result of Civil Services 2016-17 for  conduct the exam afresh.
