JAMMU, Feb 5: The 45 aggrieved migrant youth who had applied for various posts under PM package and whose appointment orders have not been issued for last many years continue their protest in front of Press Club here for 116th day today.
The protestors with banners and placards in their hands shouted slogans in support of their demands. Demanding justice for them they urged the Government to issue appointment orders in their favour immediately.
The protestors accused the Government of deliberately adopting the delaying tactics and sought immediate intervention of Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha in the matter. Pinning high hopes in LG’s administration, the aggrieved migrant youth said that they hope that the Government will settle the issue without further delay.
The protesting youth said that after announcement of PM package they left the private jobs outside the J&K with this intent to serve in their motherland and also make the Government’s return and rehabilitation plan for Kashmiri migrants a success. But they were totally dismayed after the appointment orders were not issued in their favour despite being in merit list.
The protesting candidates said that their appointment orders be issued on the same analogy on which other waiting list candidates was issued. The protestors being men as well as women said that by delaying their appointment orders the Government has put their future at stake as some of them are at the verge of over age. Besides, after leaving their jobs in private sector in the hope of joining Government service in J&K they have also lost the source of livelihood and have become a burden on their old aged parents.
The migrant youth who addressed the protestors included Deepak Raina, Bharti Koul, Kamlesh Pandita, Rozy Bhat and Anita Kumari.
