We the retirees’ of erstwhile Agriculture Department make a fervent appeal to the Governor of Jammu & Kashmir to address our grievances, we the retirees’ of Agriculture Department recruited in 1972 and after retired on the same post on which recruited as ‘Agriculture Extension Officer or equivalent’ (Gazetted Cadre). We got no lifetime promotion due to non-settlement of seniority/DPC issues which is still pending as on date. Half hearted interim arrangement by placing junior ineligible officers’ on top positions without merit and seniority has given rise to dissatisfaction in the Department. Ineligible officers are taking recourse to litigations and mis-information in corridors of power to protect their adhoc positions. Best efforts of present Commissioner Agriculture does not seem to bear fruits due to official bottlenecks.
We therefore appeal to yourself to personally intervene to sort out DPC/Seniority issues of Agriculture Department so that at least after retirement we get due pensionary benefits, we are in dire need of.
