SRINAGAR, Aug 25: Ahad Sultans registered a thrilling win by one run over TCI Cheetahs in the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Corporate Premier League (JKCPL), here today.
Put into bat first, Ahad Sultans scored a decent total of 169 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the in the stipulated 20 overs. Ulfat Fushoo was the top scorer with 57 runs, while Nazir and Abid Nabi contributed 33 and 29 runs to the total respectively. Skipper Adil Reshi scalped 4 important wickets for Kehwah Kings, while Saqib Majeed bagged 2 and Pardeep Bali claimed one.
In reply, Kehwa Kings fell just short of one run as they managed to score 168 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted overs. Hilal top scored with unbeaten 38 runs, while Pardeep Bali, Arshid Khawaja and Adil Reshi contributed 37, 28 and 26 runs to the total respectively. For Ahad Sultans, Vishvejeet Singh took 2 wickets, while Abid Nabi, Umar Dar, Abid Nara and Sameer took one wicket apiece. Ulfat Fushoo was declared HDFC man of the match, while Nazir got the TCI maximum sixes award.
