JAMMU, Dec 27: Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat has strongly condemned the purported remark of BJP MP Rakesh Sinha, who allegedly associated the Ahmadiyya community with terrorism and enemies of India.
“Ahmadiyya Muslim community is a peace loving community, which promotes peace, compassion, interfaith harmony, sympathy towards mankind, love and brotherhood. Each and every member of this community is loyal to India and he/she considers love for one’s country to be part of faith and is always ready to offer services for the prosperity of the country,” said a statement, issued here today by K Tariq Ahmad, Incharge Press & Media of the Jamaat.
Maintaining that the Indian Ahmadiyya Muslim community has actively conducted all kinds of humanitarian programmes for the welfare and well-being of the country, the statement added that the community has always been raising its voice against extremism at every stage.
“The history of this community is evident to the fact that since 130 years of its establishment, it has strived hard to establish peace in the country and the world. So it is completely unjust and unlawful to connect this peaceful community with terrorism, which shows ignorance of the statement holder about Ahmadiyya Muslim community in India,” said the Jamaat.
