JAMMU, July 21: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) in a meeting held today took strong exception to the remarks of Daya Shanker, ex-vice president of Uttar Pradesh, against Mayawati, BSP supremo and termed these as disrespect to the entire women folk.
The remarks were discussed in Rajya Sabha and entire House in general and women MPs in particular demanded denunciation of such remarks which were admitted and accepted by the Deputy Speaker.
The speakers in the meeting said how a person occupying such a high post in party can go to such a low is shocking in a democratic country where BSP supremo had been Chief Minister of largely populated State in the country for four times and Member of Parliament has been disrespected without qualms of conscience in the same manner as the sitting Union MoS Foreign Affairs B K Singh had made remarks against Dalit murdered UP girls like dogs. Both these remarks are in reference to target Shudras which reflects their deepest faith in the Shalokas ot Tulsi Dass Ramayan and Manu Smriti viz ‘Dhol Gavaar Shudra Pashu Nari; Yeh Sab Taran Ke Adhikari’.
The meeting held that the country was being run by the constitution but the implementation of ‘Chaturverna System’ is more than the constitution. The speakers said women MPs of both Houses should raise and emphasize over the issue for scrapping of this Shaloka from the Ramayan, the root cause of such remarks against women in totality.
The Central Committee members in the meeting strongly condemned the accused and demanded stern action against Daya Shanker and also against those accused of committing atrocities on Dalit boys. M R Bangotra and Prof Kali Dass and all Central Committee members shared their views on the occasion.
