JAMMU, June 2: Chairman of AIIMS Coordination Committee and President of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu, Abhinav Sharma today announced the programme to be pursued for exerting pressure on the Government for establishment of AIIMS in Jammu and earlier completion of the Tawi artificial lake project.
On June 5, candle light procession will be taken out at 7 pm from Parade in front of Brahman Sabha. The procession will cover the old city and culminate at Raghunath Bazar. Mr Sharma has appealed the people of Jammu, including the youth and womenfolk, to actively participate in order to put united face against the anti-Jammu policies.
Stating that a full scale mass movement has become a necessity to teach the anti-Jammu forces, he recalled that it was after a long-drawn struggle that the people of Jammu Province got University of Jammu, Medical College, Engineering College, Dental College, Agricultural University, Central University and few additional districts.
He regretted that the people of Jammu Province, who contribute more than 70% of the revenue annually to the State exchequer, have been let down by their own representatives. He said that time has come for the people of Jammu province to join hands to fight out the anti-Jammu forces.
