AIKS to organize KPL from Nov 20

JAMMU, Nov 6: All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS), New Delhi is organizing a mega cricketing event involving Kshmiri Pandit youth namely KPL from November 20 at different venues in Jammu.
Ten teams, which have already been finalized will be taking part in the event. These 10 teams include those two teams which have already qualified for the event from 1st Phase of the 16-team League held at Delhi recently.
The League at Delhi was participated by the KP teams drawn from NCR, Delhi, Chandigarh and Jammu.
Apart from the cricket balls, cricket uniforms and refreshment, the players will be provided with attractive prizes including glittering winners and runner-up trophies, besides man of the series, best batsman, best bowler, best fielder and man of the match awards.
The organizers said that the objective of the tournament is to provide opportunity to Kashmir Pandit youth to hone their cricketing skill to blossom at the higher levels.
They said that the event is a step forward to integrate the KP youth and help them not to derail from the mainstream.
The meeting of the organizers was held today with regard to making necessary arrangements for smooth and successful conduct of the event.
The meeting was chaired by AK Raina, Vice President AIKS and was attended by Vijay Kashkari, Convener AIKS, Ashinder Koul, former Chairman of Senior Selection Committee JKCA, Rajesh Dhar, Chairman Media Committee JKCA, Aryan Ramesh, Secretary AIKS and Rajesh Raina, Skipper of one of the participating teams.
