AIMCCC highlights problems of Jagti township inmates

JAMMU, Oct 7: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) is complimented L.G Sahab for directing the administration to organise camp of officers at Jagti on 9th and 10th of October, for redressal of grievances of the community, which are pending for last about 31 years .
AIMCCC, hoped for positive response to genuine demands in addition to implementation of other Centrally Sponsored Schemes for Kashmir migrants. In it’s meeting under the chairmanship of Desh Rattan Pandita president AIMCCC, the issues of KPs and their follow up was also discussed. Stress was laid on drinking water, sanitization, healthcare and digging of Borewells besides other things. It was appealed to L.G of UT to issue necessary orders for digging of borewells at Jagti township at an earliest which can feed to surrounding villages of area too to overcome the water borne diseases. The inhabitants at Jagti have suffered much of various diseases resulting in Gastro-intestinal, Renal disease, Liver damage with increase in high mortality rate. Impure drinking water has become a serious problem in all camps, non camps and other places too. Government is spending a huge amount on present water supply at Jagti but it is total failure.
The meeting said that during this epidemic, fresh hygienic water supply has become more important to save lives. At the same time, no sanitization is being carried out and so need to be done in all camps and non-Camps immediately to control the COVID-19. Commissioner Municipality Jammu and its Mayor were requested to launch sanitization drive in all camps and non camps immediately. Lt Governor was appealed to issue orders for supply of abundant medicines to Government hospital Jagti township along with other facilities for this purposeful. This hospital covers a huge population of Jagti township, Jagti village and various surrounding villages with a good population.
AIMCCC requested the administration for releasing of pending sugar quota from January 2020 for relief holders and other border migrants as early as possible when it has been issued only for 3 months i.e July, August and September 2020. . The meeting among others was attended by P N.Jalali vice president, .Manmohan Kanth secretary, M L Booni cashier, Vinoo Misri publicity secretary, .Raj Kumar Koul organizer, Kamal Koul, Deepak Kumar Raina, J L Raina, Ramesh Kumar Pandita, and from Mahila wing Meenu Misri, Priya Dhar, Anjali Tikoo, Santosh ji, Sunita Dhar and Basanti ji.
