Air Force Station Jammu’s Cycle Rally concludes

Cycle Rally being received at Air Force Station Jammu on Saturday.

JAMMU, Nov 23: A team of 30 air warriors, which was flagged off on November 18, 2013, returned home after a 550 km Cycle Rally, here today.
The team led by Wing Commander Suresh Tiwari went to Dharamshala in five days.
The Rally was conducted as mark of Air Force Anniversary on completing 82 glorious years and also the silver jubilee of the 130 Helicopter Unit. The team leader, while sharing his experience was satisfied over the successful conduct of the Rally, which he termed was conducted in most professional manner.
All the air warriors finished the task within the time frame, without any incident or accident.
He said that there were lots of obstacles in the way which were natural and man-made, however, with sheer tenacity and mental toughness of the men in blue the obstacles were overcome smoothly.
The team of air warriors was received with loud cheers by the air warriors of Air Force station Jammu as they reached the guard room. They were personally received by Air Cmde P E Patange, YSM, VM, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Jammu and Mamta Patange, president AFWWA (L).
