Airtel outplays Idea to win 2nd Inter Telecom Indoor Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, Sept 13: Defeating Idea Cellular in the summit clash, Airtel XI won the title trophy of the 2nd Inter Telecom Indoor Cricket Tournament at KC Sports Club, here today.
Today the match was played in the air-conditioned Indoor Cricket Hall with 9 pitches, 5 fast and 4 spin pitches with surface of 16000 sq ft.
Earlier, batting first, Idea Cellular scored 64 runs in allotted 16 overs. Rohan Singh, Charanjeet Singh and Tahir contributed 18, 15 and 11 runs respectively. For Airtel, Mustaq and Bharat took 2 wickets each, while Gaurav and Anil took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Airtel chased the target of 64 in 15.3 overs and won the match to claim the title. Bharat, Mustaq and Shariq Sood made 22, 18 and 13 runs respectively. For Idea Cellular XI, Tarun and Dinesh took 2 wickets each, while Tahir claimed one.
Bharat and Mushtaq were declared as joint winners of the man of the match award for their brilliant performances.
Dr. Ram Thakur Director of KC Public School was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed trophies and medals among winners and runners-up teams.
