Airtel ranked 4th among 100 MNCs

JAMMU, Oct 17: Bharti Airtel, one the leading global Telecommunication service provider with operations in 20 countries has been ranked 4th in the list of 100 emerging market international companies on corporate transparency and reporting by Transparency International.
According to study conducted by the Transparency International the companies were ranked on three parameters- reporting on anti-corruption programme, organizational transparency including information about corporate holdings and country-by-country reporting  including revenues, capital expenditure and tax payments.
Bharti Airtel scored 85% on reporting on anti-corruption programme against average score of 46%. On organization transparency it was 75% and for country-by-country reporting it was 34% against the average of 9 %.  The top 10 companies in the ranking as per study are- Tata Communications, Tata Global Beverages, Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel, Petronas, United Company Rusal, Tata Chemicals, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors and Tata Consultancy Services.
