JAMMU, Dec 26: All India Students Federation (AISF) here today paid rich tributes to freedom fighter Shaheed Udham Singh on his birth anniversary.
On this occasion, AISF activists discussed the life, struggles and sacrifices of the freedom fighter and asked the new generation to inculcate qualities of these great personalities in their lives.
Speaking on the occasion, State AISF General Secretary Ranbir Bandral said, “Udham Singh lived an exemplary life. The nation is proud of him. He played an important role in inspiring young minds at the time of freedom struggle.”
He also said, while most of the leaders today are running after vote banks, they should instead work for the betterment of the country and the sacrifices of the freedom fighters like Udham Singh should never be forgotten.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were H.R Rehman, AISF State Vice President, Sahil Charak, State Deputy Secretary and others.
