Ajay Warriors lifts Junior JPL title

JAMMU, July 21: Defeating Maharaja Hari Singh (MHS) Club by 6 wickets in the title clash, Ajay Warriors Cricket Club lifted the title trophy in the Junior Jammu Premier League (JJPL) at Government Polytechnic College ground, Vikram Chowk, here.
Earlier, batting first, MHS Club scored 65 runs in the stipulated 10 overs, while in reply Ajay Warriors Club rode on a superb 42 runs by Sahil Sharma and scored the required target in 8.3 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Skipper Ajay Sharma also contributed valuable 21 runs to the total. Sahil hit 4 fours and 2 sixes in his 20-ball knock, which fetched him the man of the match award.
Harneek Singh, Assistant Manager PNB was chief guest on the occasion, while Ashwani Sharma, Vikram Singh, Manoj, Seerat Fatima, Gareeb Niwaz and Riaz Atish were the guests of honour.
Later-on, the chief guest and the other dignitaries distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams. Azmat was organizer of the tournament.
