Ajit, Arun emerge champions in Body Building

JAMMU, Apr 21: Ajit Singh Jamwal emerged champion of champions for the Night for the year 2018-19, while Arun Kumar was the champion of champions in fitness in the 15th JK Shree BBAJK Body Building and Physique Sports Championship, organized by Body Building Association of Jammu and Kashmir at Teachers Bhawan Auditorium, Gandhi Nagar, here.
115 Body Builders and Best Physique Competitors took part in the event.
Former Minister Raman Bhalla was the chief guest on the occasion, who inaugurated the event in an impressive and well attended function.
S. Balbir Singh, International Judge was the Chief Judge of the competition.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest lauded the efforts of the organizers for holding this mega event, especially President of the Association, BS Tirthi and General Secretary, Rajesh Dutta.
The chief guest along with the dignitaries including S. Balbir Singh, Dr Abdul Kabir Dar, Balkar Angurana, Anil Kumar Gupta and Arun Sharma distributed prizes among the winners on the occasion.
In 50-55 kg, Manoj Kumar Gupta, Vaibhav Saini and Shivam Sharma claimed gold, silver and bronze respectively, while in 55-60 kg, Vimal Jit won gold, Shivam Sachdev bagged silver and Anuj Bharadwaj claimed bronze.
In 60-65 kg, Ajit Singh Jmawal won gold, Hamzah Fayaz clinched silver and Amit Sharma claimed bronze, while in 65-70 kg, Abhinav Sharma, Vishal Mahajan and Krishan Lal claimed gold, silver and bronze medals respectively.
The gold medal winners in other categories included Shramik Mahajan, Sushil Kumar, Kamal Jit Singh, Arun Kumar, Shivam Rajputand Rahul Dev Manhas.
