Ajit Club to clash with Singh Club in summit clash tomorrow

JAMMU, Nov 23: Ajit Football Club, Gole Gujral will clash with Singh Football Club, Bandu Rakh in summit clash of Vijay Pal Memorial Hockey Tournament organised by Hockey J&K at Army field, Bandu Rakh, nov 25.
In the first semifinal match, Ajit Club thrashed Hiranagar Club by five goals to two (5-2).
In the first half of the match, Devinder of Ajit Club netted the first goal in the 6th minute, was equalized by Abhinandan of Hiranagar Club in the 9th minute.
In the 18th minute, Rajinder of Hiranagar Club chipped in another goal, which again was equalized by Ajit Club player Amrinder Singh in 19th minute and brought the score to 2-2 goals.
Enthusiastic Amrinder again netted the goal in the 22nd minute, which Hiranagar Club players failed to equalize and the first half ended with 3-2 goals.
In the second half, Manpreet Singh of Ajit Club pelted the goal in the 51st minute and again trounced back by netting a goal in the 54th minute, thus bringing its opponent team under extreme pressure.
In the last 10 minutes of the game, after 54th minute, Hiranagar Club were looking dominated and paved way for its opponent Ajit Club to sail into the finals.
In second semis, Singh Football Club routed GNC, Nanak Nagar with 6-5 goals via tie-breaker.
During the match, Agandeep of Singh Club netted the first goal of the first half in the 20th minute, which was equalized by Joginder Singh of GNC, Nanak Nagar in 26 minute. The first half ended with one goal each.
In the second half, Iqbal Singh netted the goal through penalty corner and just after two  minutes, equalizer goal was netted by Agandeep of Singh Club.
The match ended with 2-2 goals and turn comes for penalty kicks, during which Singh Club registered victory over GNC, Nanak Nagar by one goal and the score remained 6-5 goals.
For Singh Club side, Jagjeet, Rakesh Chaudhary, Amitpal and Manjeet Singth converted the penalty kicks into goals, whereas, from GNC, Nanak Nagar side, Ranveet Singh, Gurpreet Singh and Amarjeet Singh netted goals.
The matches were officiated by Charanjeet Singh, Iqbal Singh, Dilbir Mehta, Daljeet Singh, GS Bakshi, MS Reen, Satbir, Karanjit, Kawaljit and Jaswant Singh.
During the matches, VK Kohli was the guest of honour.
