Jalandhar, July 23:
Ajitesh Kaushal bagged gold in the 13th Kumar Surendra Singh Memorial Shooting Championship held at Dr Karni Singh Shooting Ranges, New Delhi which concluded yesterday.
Ajitesh, son of Rakesh Kaushal, a senior Police officer and Commandant, 3rd commando battalion, Mohali fetched gold in the standard pistol in the individual junior competition. He also made his triumph in the junior sports pistol bagging silver while in the seniors free pistol competition he shared silver with his team. The shooting championship lasted for seven days from July 16 to 22.
More than 1,000 shooters both national and international level participated in the championship which is equivalent to National Shooting.(UNI)
