JAMMU, Dec 4: Akash House registered 18 runs victory over Agni House in the finals and lifted the title trophy of the Inter House Cricket Tournament organized by Humanity Public School, Bassi Kalan, here today.
Batting first, Akash House scored 135 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in stipulated 12 overs. Murad who remained not out scored 48 runs.
For Agni House, Asif was the wrecker-in-chief who scalped 3 wickets.
In reply, Agni House failed to chase the target and bundled out at 117 for the loss of 3 wickets in allotted 12 overs.
Murad was declared as man of the match for his splendid 48 runs.
Earlier, in the first semifinal, Agni House thrashed Trishool House by 6 wickets. Asif was declared as man of the match for scoring 64 runs.
In second semifinal, Akash House outplayed Prithvi House by 22 runs. Man of the match trophy was awarded to Sandeep for scoring 42 runs.
The final match was officiated by Sanjeev Sharma and Raman Kumar as umpires, whereas, Aman Kumar maintained the scoreboard.
On the valedictory function, Gaurav Charak, Principal of the school, was the chief guest who distributed prizes among the winner and runner-up teams.
