AKJK team shines at Nat’l Karate C’ship, win 20 medals

JAMMU, Aug 30: Team of Association of Karate Jammu and Kashmir (AKJK) brought laurels at 8th All India Karate Championship 2023 held at Kurukshetra University, Haryana by winning four gold, five silver and 11 bronze medals.
The championship was held between 25 to August 27 August. The championship was hosted by the Haryana Sports Karate Association under the banner of the Karate Association of India (KAI), witnessed the participation of 25 states and Union Territories Karate teams, with a total number of 1000 participants.
Association of Karate Jammu and Kashmir dedicated team of 20 students showcased their exceptional skill and determination and brought laurels to the Union Territory. The team, under the guidance of Coach Sensei Amit Singh, a WKF black belt 4th Dan, and Team Manager Sensei Vikas Dhar, a black belt 4th Dan in Japan Karate Shito Ryu Seifukan, exhibited exemplary sportsmanship throughout the championship. Tanmay Gupta, Shivay Hangloo, Rajeev Singh and Aditya Singh won gold medals in the championship.
