JAMMU, Nov 7: All Kargil Students Union Jammu (AKSUJ) organized a Sports Meet at Jammu for the students of Kargil in the disciplines of cricket, football and volleyball, which concluded here today.
The final of football was played between FC Baroo and Spartan Chiktan team and was won by Spartan Chiktan with a margin of 2 goals, while the cricket final was played between Sheena XI and Friends XI which was won by the Sheena XI by 3 wickets with the outstanding performance of Shabir Hussain, who was declared man of the match for his good show. Meanwhile, in volleyball final, Friends Pashkum defeated Baroo Fonia by 2 sets.
On this occasion, Minister of State for Science and Information Technology, Medical Education, School Education and Youth Services and Sports, Feroz Ahmad Khan was the chief guest, while the Principal, Government Science College Jammu was the guest of honour.
Appreciating this effort of the Union, Feroz Khan told that such events engage the students and secure them from wandering and engaging in untoward activities during their leisure time.
