Alakh Sahiba Trust solemnizes Chandhan Shashti Moksha Hawan

JAMMU, Aug 21: On the auspicious occasion of Chandhan Shashti Bhadra Mas of Krishna Paksha a grand Chandan Shasti Moksha Hawan was organised by Shri Alakh Sahiba Trust, Talab Tillo Bohri in which a large number of women belonging to Hindu community participated.
The entire temple complex of Mata Roopbhawani was reverberated with the recitation of Vedic Mantras and Shalokas. The temple management has made elaborate arrangements for the Chandhan Shashti Moksh Hawan. This was stated in a handout issued by Alakh Sahiba Trust, Talab Tillo.
It said the festival which is celebrated as Lord Balaram’s birth day has different names in different parts of country. The Kashmiri Pandits call it Chandan Shashti the Hindu Goddess supporter and protector of children. As per Hindu mythology Maa Shashti is also worshipped for bestowing children to the childless parents and regarded as primary Goddess for blessing children.
