JAMMU, Nov 21: Alexander Memorial School, Jammu celebrated Sports Day for students of Nursery Class to V in the school premises here today.
Chief guest of the day was Johnny William, former IGP and president of Alexander Memorial Educational Society. Prominent personalities such as Robin Mehta, Sanjeev Vaid from Rotary Club, Jammu, Rajbinder Kler, Proprietor, CrossWay Cricket Academy and Principles of several reputed institutions of Jammu including Prabha Jain, New Era Environmental School, Jammu and Neeru Puri, S.D. Tara Puri High School, Jammu were also present during the function.
Earlier, Esther William, Principal, Alexander Memorial School, Jammu, received the chief guest. The Sports-Event Competitions held were in different categories. The results were LKG Hop Race; Zionah Teji/Shohel Alam, Oliviaathwal/Mohit Kashyap and Areeba Akhtar/Tahil Ahmad Dar came first, second and third respectively.
Class UKG Hop Race; Mahin Fatima/Abraham Mattoo, Kavya/Tanish Bhardwaj, Marym Attoo/Riyansh Sotra stood on top three positions respectively.
Class I 30 Meter Race; Alex/Joyce Marry Sotra came first, Mohd Ayan/ Iva stood in second position whereas Abenezer/Ariya came third. Class II Spoon and Lemon Race; Rahat Mooman/ Iraj Choudhary, Rahat Dhar and Aaryian Butt clinched first, second and third positions respectively.
Class III Needle and Thread Race Towheed Yunus Naik/ Sanuja Khatoon came first, Soham Chouhan/Ananya Rajwal stood second and Vansh Singh/Devika Singh came third.
Class IV Sack Race Hrithik Bhagat/ Shriyab Bangotra came first, Anik Khonjay/Maryam Jahangir stood second and Obed Sotra/Hadiya/Sadiya in third place.
Class V Three Legged Race; Ansh Singh/Abhron Sotra/ Anna Bella/Mehak Chadha came first, Resham Singh/ Ridhima/ Priyanshi/Yuvraj Kumar came second and Dhairya Sharma/Roddick/ Ruhani Roman/Areeba Anjum came third place. All the participants were given certificates, whereas the winners of the events were given medals also.
