BANDIPORA, Nov 18: The final match of 4th Open Kashmir Cricket Championship was held at S.K Stadium, here today.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmad was chief guest on the occasion. He also distributed trophies and mementos among participants.
It was informed that the championship was organised by Hashmee Cricket Club in collaboration with Ali’s Sports Academy Bandipora.
Fourty eight teams participated in the championship and the final was played between Alfa Trading and Bandipora Knights.
Alfa Trading won the final and were rewarded with a cash prize of Rs. 85000 and a huge fibre trophy while the runners-up team were awarded a cash prize of Rs.55000 and a trophy.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC hailed the efforts of organisers and appreciated the youth for participating in such events.
He said the Administration is committed to develop sports infrastructure to facilitate youth in every kind of sports activities in the district.
Padmashree Faisal Ali Dar, Chairman MC Bandipora, senior sports persons and other concerned were also present on the occasion.
