Aligned with BJP in interest of Bihar: Nitish

PATNA: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said the “collective” decision to part ways with the RJD and join hands with BJP was taken in the interest of the state and its people.

“Whatever decision we have taken will be in the interest of Bihar and its people. It will ensure development and justice. It will also ensure progress.

“This is a collective decision. I assure that our commitment is to the people of Bihar,” Kumar told reporters after taking oath, amid reports that senior leaders like Sharad Yadav and party MP Ali Anwar were among those unhappy with his decision to align with the BJP.

On Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi’s criticism of him, Kumar said he will give reply to all his queries and those of others at the “right time”. (AGENCIES)
