JAMMU, Jan 17: A deputation of All J&K OBC Maha Sabha met Chairman National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) New Delhi regarding the implementation of constitutional rights of 27% reservation in Government services.
A detailed memorandum was submitted under the chairmanship of Kasturi Lal Basotra, Chairman of the Sabha. John Mohammad General Secretary OBC Welfare Association Srinagar, Brij Mehra General Secretary Akhil Bharatiya Kashyap Mahasang and Bodh Raj Badan, Kathua District President BJP were also present.
Through memorandum, the delegation demanded implementation of constitutional rights of 27% reservation in Government services, political reservation, restoration of J&K Backward Classes Act 1997 in toto, separate column for OBCs in the census 2021, separate office of the National Backward Classes Finance and Development Corporation in J&K and branch office of National Commission for Backward Classes in J&K.
Among others present were Bansi Lal Choudhary, Ghulam Hassan Sheer Gujri, Kuldeep Chalotra, Manohar Lal Tidyal, Ram Lubiya, Nazir Ahmed Teeli, Mohammad Ayoub Hajjam, Mohan Lal Pawar, Bodh Raj, Reham Deen Malik, Shabir Ahmed Salaria, Abdul Qadir, Aman Choudhary, Ashok Kumar Manni and Gurpreet Kumar Dogra.
