All J&K State Pensioners Association holds meet

JAMMU, Oct 9: All J&K State Pensioners Association held a meeting under the chairmanship of its general secretary Madan Lal Abrol.
While speaking, Abrol appealed to the Government and Minister of Finance Haseeb Drabu to release the pending installment of DA at the earliest, as the prices of the essential commodities are touching sky.
The other members of the Association also requested the Finance Minister to enhance the medical allowance to Rs 1000 from Rs 300.
He said that the Central Government has raised the pension who have crossed the age limit of 80, 85, 90, 95 years and above to 10, 20, 40, 50, 75 and 100 per cent respectively, but the State Government has failed to do so.
Abrol requested the Government to merge the 50 per cent DA with the basic pension, so that they can meet the present situation. They also warned the Government of dire consequences, if their demands are not redressed.
Among others present were Yash Paul Sanson, Raj Kumar Banathia, Puran Chand Khajuria, Mohammad Shafi, Des Raj Sharma, Jagdish Dogra, Bushan Pargal, Dev Raj Gupta, etc.
