NEW DELHI, Aug 6: Aluminium prices were up 0.15 per cent to Rs 101.05 per kg in futures trade today as participants strengthened their positions, supported by an upward trend in base metals pack overseas.
Besides, firm demand at the spot market also influenced metal prices.
At Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in the current month edged up 15 paise, or 0.15 per cent, to Rs 101.05 per kg in a business turnover of 139 lots.
Also, the metal for delivery in September was trading 10 paise, or 0.10 per cent higher at Rs 102.65 per kg in a turnover of 3 lots.
Marketmen said apart from increased domestic demand, a firming global trend in base metals, mainly influenced metal prices at futures trade here. (PTI)
