JAMMU, Dec 1: A youngster from Rajouri district, Amaan Zari has been selected for the Indian under-19 cricket team for the 4-Nations Cup which is scheduled to be played in Dubai.
Amaan Zari, a resident of Rajouri, is the first youngster from the district to represent India at the highest level.
“Ever since I started playing cricket at the age of 12, it was my dream to wear this jersey and to play for India. Today, this dream has come true,” said Zari while interacting with media persons.
Zari gives credit to his Coach Bruce Adams for his success in the field of cricket. “I joined Cricket Academy of Pathans (CAP) and under Coach Bruce Adams, I honed my skills. Whatever I am today, the credit goes to him,” he asserted
Zari completed his schooling from Delhi Public School (DPS)-Rajouri and later went to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
It is pertinent to mention here that the tournament is being organised by Al Bataya Cricket Club and sponsored by International Youth Cricket League (IYCL), an upcoming platform for budding cricketers offering tournaments at various levels.
Teams from India, Pakistan, Dubai and Oman have already confirmed their participation for the prestigious trophy which will be played under lights in various grounds in Dubai.
