Ambardar visits KP transit camps

SRINAGAR, July 26: BJP MLC Surinder Ambardar today visited various KP transit camps here and took stock of the problems being faced by the inmates of these camps who are mostly the employees who have been recruited under PM package.
Ambardar while visiting the Sheikhpora colony was apprised about the problems being faced by the inmates including accommodation and non payment of HRA issues. Employees also briefed the MLC about the need for the inter district transfers which they believe should be allowed as they have been perusing the same with all the genuine back ground reasoning.
Ambardar was also informed by the inmates that most of the issues which he (Ambardar) had taken with the authorities in his last visit have been redressed and work is going on the some of the other related problems of the colony.
He also paid a visit to Veer-Wan migrant transit camp in Baramulla and listened to the grievances of the inmates. He was appraised about the various problems being faced by them which primarily related to their drinking water woes and drainage problems and he was also informed about the electricity supply problem.
Ambardar assured the inmates that all their issues will be redressed within due course of time and also spoke to the concerned authorities over the phone and told them to resolve all the pending issues of the people living in these camps without any further delay and further added that he will take up with the Government the immediate need to expedite the process of adding more accommodation at various camps.
MLC also paid a visit to St Joseph’s School Baramulla and met the Principal of the institution and said that the admission process for the wards of the KPs should be made easy and hassle free so that so that they also take benefit of this premiere educational institute.
