JAMMU, Nov 26: Election of Amateur Karate Do Association (AKDA) of J&K was held here today for the term 2024-28 as per the guidelines of J&K Sports Council.
The Council had appointed Advocate Anshuja Tak as Returning Officer.
Daaman Jamwal, Observer from Karate India Organization was also present on the occasion and the election was conducted under the chairmanship of Rahil Gupta, outgoing vice president of Amateur Karate Do Association of J&K.
The nominations were filed without any contest and the results were declared unanimously and Ambedkar Gupta was unanimously elected as president of the Association; Dr. Rohin Gupta, vice president; Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, general secretary; Deepa Sharma, joint secretary and Manik Jandial, treasurer.
The members who were present on the occasion were Tajamul Ahmad Khan, Fasil Ali, Moin Ul Hamid, Ghulam Mustafa Mir, Raja Shabahat Iftikhar, Amit Kumar, Anil Kumar, Rakesh Kumar Bhardwaj, Charan Singh Slathia, Sunil Sharma, Sahil Singh Langeh, Yuvraj Singh, Azmat Bibi, Deepika Chauhan, Shaveta Gupta and Muskan Bashir.
