SRINAGAR, June 13: A delegation of All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) leaders called on Tassaduq Mufti Political Advisor to Chief Minister. The AMCCC leaders discussed shortage of water supply at Jagti and other problems being faced by displaced Pandits with him.
They informed Mufti that people are facing tremendous problems since the date of migration as Government was never sincere towards KPs. “If generator is available in Relief Office then why it is not being utilized during power break down in Jagti camp they asked?
They said that running generator during the power cut can provide a succor to the people who can’t bear this scorching heat.
The delegation also discussed the encroachment of land of Pandits in Valley by vested interests. They said that the migrant candidates whose selection list was issued in March are still waiting for orders especially in Shopian and Budgam districts.
The delegation demanded that only migrant contractors be given preference in allotment of construction works being executed by Relief Organisation.
AMCCC also demanded that Summer classes be started in Jagti as well as in other migrant camps and non camps. Medicines in Jagti Hospital be made available. AMCCC delegation later called on Minister of Relief and Rehabilitation A.R. Veeri and discussed all pending problems of migrants with him also.
