JAMMU, Oct 14: Accusing the State administration of stopping their salaries without any reason, All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) said that families of PM package and non package employees working in Valley are facing starvation after they have been deprived of single source of income.
Making an appeal to the State and Centre Governments that it may ensure that they will get their salaries without any further delay, these employees want Governments to issue directions in this regard so that their families could not face any more hardships. They said that majority of employees could not have received yet salary of July and August month where on the other hand officials have directed for complete withheld of their salaries from the September onwards.
“Our salaries have never been released on time since our appointment in Valley under package. Our salaries are still pending for last two-three months and in case Government will stop our salaries at the moment despite being well aware of our problems, it could be seen as a step to deprive us from another right,” said Rohit, adding that majority of employees have made admissions to their children in Jammu but are unable to pay their monthly fee.
Hundreds of package and non package employees are on peaceful protest for consecutive 91 days here at the office of Relief Commissioner in support of their demands after they have left Valley due to unrest and mob violence but unfortunately neither state nor centre showing any concern to mitigate their sufferings.
These employees are seeking their adjustment in camp offices at Jammu or temporary attachment till they will feel complete secure to work at their respective places.
