REASI, Apr 22: Amigos Cricket Club Panipat lifted the Reasi Chenab Premier League T20 Cricket Tournament title by defeating Sapience Cricket Club Delhi by 3 wickets, organised by the media fraternity at Sports Stadium, here today.
Batting first SCC Delhi scored 121 runs by losing 8 wickets in stipulated 20 overs, wherein Sahabaz Asif scored 23 runs in 22 balls, studded with 3 fours, while Rohit Sharma made 35 runs off 31 balls and Deepak made unbeaten 17 runs. From the bowling side, Ankush Nagar took 3 wickets, Abhinandan and Vikram got 2 wickets each and Gourav clinched 1 wicket.
In reply, ACC Panipat chased the set target in 18.3 overs by 7 wickets and registered 3 wickets win over their opponents. Danny remained not out at 38 runs while Shivam scored 46 runs and Gourav Tomer contributed 21 runs. From the bowling side, Arun Chaprana and Pardeep took 2 wickets each, while Deepak and Vikas took 1 wicket each.
Gourav Tomer was declared as player of the tournament for his 219 runs and seven wickets during the tournament, whereas Ankush Nagar was awarded with man of the match and Deepak Badana was announced as bowler of the tournament.
The winning team was given a cash prize of Rs 3 lakhs, while the runner up team was awarded with a cash prize of Rs 1.5 lakhs.
District Development Commission Reasi, Babila Rakwal was the chief guest of the event, while SSP Amit Gupta was the guest of honour along with special guests including ACR Sanjay Badyal, Sudesh Kumar Puri, Chairman Municipal Committee and others.
