JAMMU, Dec 17: Amit Anand of Jammu and Kashmir clinched gold in below 60 kg weight category of junior age group in the 1st North India Raw Bench Press Championship, under the aegis of India Raw Powerlifting Federation at Amar Nath Yatri Bhawan Bhagwati Nagar, here today.
Vikramjeet of Punjab got silver, while bronze went to Karan of J&K in this category. Below 60 kg Senior gold was bagged by Manoj Singh of J&K.
In below 56 kg, Ricky Panday of Punjab, Sahil Arora of Punjab and Ankush Kumar of J&K bagged gold, silver and bronze medals respectively in junior age group, while 56 kg, senior gold went to Pran Nath of Punjab.
In 67.5 kg junior category, gold, silver and bronze went to Vikey Panday of Punjab, Gourav of J&K and Shubam of J&K respectively, while senior category gold was bagged by Sandeep of J&K, silver went to Anil Kumar of Punjab and the bronze was claimed by Gourav of J&K.
75 kg junior gold went to Waquar of J&K, while silver was bagged by Sahil Gupta of J&K. 75 kg senior gold went to Sahil Verma of J&K and silver by Waquar of the J&K.
Meanwhile, 82.5 kg junior gold went to Balvinder Singh of Punjab, silver to Sanveer Singh of Punjab and bronze to Dushyant Ghai of J&K, while senior gold and silver in this weight category went to Vikrant Sharma of J&K and Gagandeep Singh of Punjab respectively.
