JAMMU, Mar 4: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Councillor, Amit Gupta along with Inderjeet Khajuria here today inaugurated lane and drain work at Vinayak Bazar in Ward 19.
A handout stated that the work will be completed at the cost of Rs. 5 lakh and the lane and drain of the area were in dilapidated condition since long due to which passersby and the locals were facing a lot of problems while moving through these lanes.
Speaking on the occasion the JMC Councillor asked the people of his Ward to cooperate JMC in various development works undertaken in Jammu city.
He urged upon his Ward residents to avoid single use plastic and polythene in routine work and don’t throw debris and garbage in public drains and lanes.
Gupta said that people should adopt the habit of segregation of dry and wet garbage at their own level so that Jammu can be made neat, clean and beautiful city.
Locals including and office bearers of Vinayak Bazar Association and others were also present on the occasion.
